Additional Master BIOS Configuration

• Reset the machine.
• After initial memory test, press <F2> to enter the AlphaBIOS Setup menu.
• Highlight 'Disk Setup'.
• Choose 'disk 1, partition 3'.
• Format the partition by pressing <F6>.
• Reset the machine.  It will boot from the floppy.
• FTP, or copy, 'linload.exe' and 'MILO' onto sda3 (/dos).
• Reset the machine.
• Press <F2>, after the memory test, and re-enter AlphaBIOS Setup.
• Highlight 'Utilities' => 'OS Selection Setup'.
• Create a new OS Selection by pressing <INSERT>.
• NOTE:  For a tabular version of the following settings, go here.
• Set Boot Name to Linux and press <TAB>.
• Set Boot File to 'disk 1, partition 3', press <TAB>, type 'linload.exe' and press <TAB>.
• Set OS Path to 'disk 1, partition 2', press <TAB>, type '\' and press <TAB>.
• Set OS Load Options to 'boot sda2:/boot/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/sda2'.
• Press <Enter> to finish.  Press <Enter> again at warning screen.
• Press <F8> to make Linux the new primary boot OS.
• Press <F10> to save the new configuration.
• Press <Esc><Esc><Enter> to exit AlphaBIOS Setup and boot the new Master node.
