Minutes
Attendance: Stuart Anderson (minutes) Kent Blackburn Duncan Brown Kipp Cannon Jolien Creighton Ben Johnson Ed Maros Greg Mendell Brian Moe Keith Thorne John Whelan John Zweizig DMT: John reports that support for static structures for the new calibration frame file format has been started. Stuart reports that Junwei's DMT offline RPM has been installed on the CIT cluster and Natalia who has otherwise been unable to run DMT code at CIT is going to test it today. LDAS: Ed reports progress on running under tcl-8.4.12 which is a milestone in getting 64-bit Solaris support (Linux appears to be in good shape as well). The tclglobus-1.0 release has been made and RPM's built and tested against LDG-4.0 are available to be added to the LSCSOFT repository. The workflow GUI is now partially functional. GLUE: Duncan reports that GEO segments are starting to be published at CIT by Chris Messenger with help from Ben Johnson. Recently Keith T attempted and failed to get LSCdataFind running inside the CIT cluster. This appears to be an issue to Condor X.509 proxy delegation and is something that has not been tried before. Stuart suggested that perhaps we should have a host/IP based authentication method for LSCdataFind/LDRdataFindServer that would allow for local cluster queries without a need for certificates. MATAPPS: Keith reports that nightly builds are working but the HTML updates for this are not yet being posted--should be up in a day or two. Work is ongoing to support the new LDR (0.7) convention for multiple IFO lists, i.e., using comma as a delimiter. There are still problems with using FrameL to generate burst MDC frames on the Lab clusters due to a ~1GB memory restriction per job. Ed Maros indicates that there is an option to do in memory compression which should help since the output files are only ~20MByte. LAL: Jolien indicates nothing to report. LDR: Brian indicates nothing to report. Onasys: Kipp thinks everyone has upgraded to the new version and Duncan reports that the new automatic cleanup code needs a longer timer to prevent false negatives in the control room. AOB: Jolien is working with Brian on the new calibration frame format and the ad hoc committee appointed last week was encouraged to have their first meeting to make sure we all agree on where this is headed. Stuart reports that LDAS-CIT is now running with several software updates that users should help validate before the updates are pushed out to LHO/LLO/MIT: Condor-6.7.19, LDG-4.0, DMT-offline RPM.
