Minutes
Attendance: Brian Moe Kevin Flasch Kipp Cannon Jolien Creighton Ed Maros Stuart Anderson Kent Blackburn John Zweizig John Whelan Igor Yakushin Ben Johnson Patrick Brady (minutes) DMT: Junwei working on getting framecpp rpm to be recognized in the DOL build. John fixed some symbolic issues. He also updated a monitor which displays cumulative running time from segment database. Hope is then to package up rpm of DMT for offline use. Stuart: Issues with building DMT offline with different versions of gcc? Ed: Thinks it got resolved. Nothing has been done for 64 bit compilations. Plan to to supply a 32 bit rpm and leave at that until we can sort out. John will follow up and evaluate this port. Patrick asked about the insertion of DQ flags into segment database. Igor reported that the firewall was brought up with modified rules which should allow. John indicated that it is working now. Glue: No proposal for managing data quality flags. Patrick to follow. Issues with documentation have not been corrected yet. He has checked that it all works. He will work on the docs with Duncan once a few more checks are done. LAL/LALApps/Pylal: no report. LDAS: Preliminary rpm from junwei this morning. Once he accepts proposed changes, Ed will commit them. Still struggling with the Solaris 10 port on an Opteron. The challenge is that latest and greatest version of flex has changed. Some of the resampling unit tests are showing errors. LDR: Kevin reported that new version of LDR was released yesterday and will send around an e-mail this afternoon. We're running the new version at UWM. We're pulling S5 RDS data right now. Sites can update at their leasure. Stuart asked about getting to run at ANU. Kevin will take a look at it today. Kevin will send a note about getting a box for testing. LIGOTools: no report. MatApps: He has completed the instructions for the latest release. No particular problems. Seems to have fixed problem with the path length. May also fix some of the 64bit issues. Stuart asked about the X display issues. Keith is currently dealing with the problem that Anand found. It's something about the complexity of the plot. It will be easy to send and tell them about this. Keith is working on it. Onasys: nothing to report. LDG Client/Server: Stuart has re-installed LDG and is now confused about the version numbers. Certificate tools, change in certificate for UK e-science, globus security fixes. They have version 4.1 on 32bit; they have 4.0 on 64 bit. He thinks they have all these changes. Pacman will not do update on 64bit. He has not heard back about getting out old version of python on 64bit. Report from OSG Meeting: Kent would like us to talk to have a follow up on the meeting in May in Madison. Patrick to talk to me. Last week of October at Hanford. October 23-25 NSF review, Patrick, Stuart and Kent: telecon on Monday. Other issues: Debian packages: thanks to John Whelan there are debian stable versions of lscsoft. Kipp will "release" to daswg. LDG: issues with LDG on Debian. John asked about GNATS or other problem tracking for part of DASWG that don't have them. He will send patrick an e-mail. John asked about the state of the Wiki project; Patrick said the DASWG one will be set up in 10 days and we can provide for other groups immediately after that.
