LSCOFT:
GSL is still a problem, Adam is going to follow it up.
CA issue with iVDGL versus OSG. Lots of discussion, but the bottom
line is that lots of advertising is needed to get this moving.
Stuart asked if there is a way to get feedback on which tool generated
a a proxy cert. Turns out there is, but that does not really
address the problem. Sys admins just need to upgrade things.
Everybody should migrate to LDG 4.1 ......
Keith Thorne will try again ........
Kent thinks we need to look at the instructions again for the new
pacman ......
Admins need to check on their sites ........
Kent will send an e-mail to people about the problem .......
Shourov is still looking for data at the sites ...... would like to
have the MDC data. Shourov will send e-mail via Peter and Erik.
How many: 135 GB
DMT:
Nothing to report. Stuart has asked if anybody has tried out DMT
offline? John doesn't know of anyone. He will test this himself.
Glue:
Nothing to report. Duncan is to release a new version with a fix
for a bug in Kipp's code.
The discrepency between segpagegen and the database is a flag for
active segments. Igor has not done a more detailed investigation of
other discrepencies.
Igor is preparing the document about how to handle the updates
LAL/LALApps/Pylal:
Nightly builds seem to be broken. It is something in the late
stages of lalapps build and release.
Kipp has been running and testing his excess power code and it give
sensible results on nemo in 64bit.
LDAS:
Still working on the 64bit on Sun Opteron. Exceptions are not being
caught.
FrameCPP is released in LSCSOFT.
LDR:
Nothing to report.
LIGOTools:
Nothing to report.
MatApps:
Updated compilation instructions for 2006b. Keith has done test
compiles and it works fine. It seems ok. Nick reported that
stochastic test cases all pass with 2006b; on pcdev1 at LHO is 32
bit.
Had identified the issue with frgetvect issue. Nothing from Benoit.
Onasys:
Nothing to report.
The certificate issue for having service certificates that last more
than a year. This is to reduce the rate at which there would be
service interuptions due to expired certificates.
Possible solutions:
1. a secondary e-mail address to which the announcements will
expire.
2. Reduce the spam about renewals.
From Warren's perspective, there has been a preliminary dialog. They
have prioritized the list of things to do. Warren will put together
the information.
LDG Client/Server:
Nothing to report. Junwei not online.
Stuart reported that the python problem is an acknowledged problem
in VDT. Alain Roy thinks he knows how to fix.
LIGO-OSG working group:
In the last week, the Pegasus folks release 1.4.7. They have
implemented a number of OSG specific stuff. There is a horizontal
planner that was developed by LIGO. The next step is to integrate
into VDT 1.5.X; they will be meeting with him tomorrow to further
that effort.
Michael expects to be able to run hipe across 24 partitions. Will be
able to run on nodes with less storage. They have written a wrapper
solution to implement this
