Keep CVS for as long as it can be maintained; make available the nextgen system. Warren thinks this is manditory. * Scott asked when do we transition into a new state than S5. November 3 or 4 depending on the work that is being done at the sites. * Astrowatch will start right after that. DMT: Fillipo has a test release of LDM which enables DMT offline monitors. He will make a brief presentation during det char telecon. WIll announce over DASWG when pre-release is ready. John reported that we did finally get the new version of DMT off line installed. Should not be a problem to build rpms next time. Has been installed at CIT and on cluster. Glue: No software stuff. Shourov sent an e-mail to saying that the segment database is not up to date for Virgo. Leone Bosi is working on this for Virgo and maintains a web based interface. Igor is currently debugging the tools for Keith to insert segments. Will use these to insert segments that Keith anounced last week. LAL/LALApps: no news. Kipp LDAS: porting to CentOS 5.0 LDG: no report. There is a pre-release that he announced earlier. Ben will test on fc5 and fc6. Ed reported that the next VDT release will include TclGlobus; Warren reported that the issues that Greg encountered with latest VDT were all ironed out. Looks like we are close to release. LDR: there was an issue at CIT yesterday. LDR became wedged; does not understand why it was wedged. Cardiff has new machine for LDR; Gerald is installing a new LDR onto that machine. Waiting on very latest debian. Scott will do that this afternoon. Syracuse is ready to take the plunge. Duncan confirmed. LIGOtools: no report. MatApps: no report. Keith Thorne has a conflict with the review of block normal. Metaio: Duncan reported that John had checked in patches. Duncan will roll of 7.x _. 7.x+1 and Adam will publish. Onasys: no report. Kipp will put together a presentataion for us at the start of November. OSG-LIGO: Britta is gathering information on the E@H project. Trying to understand using Boinc to run the tool. Still troubleshooting 3 sites that are not working for us on OSG. Stuart asked what are these things that are broken: Duncan explained that it is the dax writing method which has issues. Charles asked how large is the largest amount of data; about 200 Gb. He was worried that things will get overloaded if they don't know the max. AOB: * LARS and metadata services. * Adam repoorted that he has 32 bit, 64 bit CentOS 5.0 .... he has published a number of rpms into it. Will have patrick and Ducan do tests * What about GSL? Patrick needs to help Adam debug it. * Stuart raised that CentOS 5 has gsl 1.4 not 1.10. * Charles reported that this will be his last week working with LIGO.
