Exploratory sub-committees
The need for fast informed decision making in our software development is apparent. To enable that, I continue to ask subcommittees to document pros/cons of various software issues relating to our data analysis software development. These are no standing sub-committees. They have a short life to facilitate information gathering and are requested to produce a short report for guidance of the DASWG. Anybody wishing to provide input on a particular item should contact the sub-committe before its report due date.
All items documented and considered here can (and often will) be revisited at future dates. This should insure that no obstructive decision remains in place for too long and should also allow us to adapt as new tools may become available
