The 8th Annual Gravitational Wave Data Analysis Workshop

The eighth annual Gravitational Wave Data Analysis Workshop (GWDAW-8) will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA from December 17-20, 2003.

Important Deadlines


Purpose

GWDAW is an annual meeting devoted to data analysis for current and future gravitational wave detectors, studies of potential gravitational wave sources, and detector physics.


Dates

The workshop sessions will last three-and-one-half days, beginning in the morning about 08:30 AM on Wednesday December 17th, and ending around lunchtime 12:30 PM on Saturday December 20th. There will be a reception at the hotel on the evening of Tuesday December 16th. There will be a banquet at the hotel on the evening of Wednesday December 17th.

Workshop Venue

The workshop will take place at the UWM Center for Continuing Education (UCCE) Conference Facility. This is located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Plankinton Building, 161 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203-2602 USA.

Lunch will be served at the conference center on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.


Internet

Internet connections (wired ethernet and wireless 802.11b) will be available at the conference site.


Workshop Hotel

The workshop hotel is the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, 33 West Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53203 USA. The hotel is located approximately two city blocks from the workshop venue.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt for the nights of Tuesday December 16, 2003 through Friday December 19, 2003. This block of rooms will be held in reserve until Sunday November 23, 2003. Room availability after that date cannot be guaranteed, so please make your hotel reservation before that date.

Proceedings

Proceedings will be published by Classical and Quantum Gravity. Please note that while presenters are encouraged to contribute to the Proceedings, they are not obligated to do so.


Registration Fee

Normal registration (on or before November 25, 2003): $180 USD. Late registration: $190 USD. The registration fee includes lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and the Banquet on Wednesday evening.
