As with most things computer, the best way to learn how use the auto documenter is to snoop around the source tree and find some examples, and then try a few things. The source code and the executable for the parser (laldoc), are in the directory lal/doc/laldoc. The directory also has a README file that give some nuts-n-bolts instructions on how to use the parser. This sections gives the basics of what you can do.
