Next Meeting: Thursday November 9, 2000 at 11AM
Review of progress with wrapperAPI
Masha and reported that some changes were made to the wrapperAPI. The
master had been doing blocking receives from each slave. This has been
changed so that a reply is not expected from each slave every time.
It was commented that the closing down process is not completely clean in the current implementation. There is the possibility some answers not being collected. Possible solutions were discussed, and it was decided that a clear statement should be added to the LAL spec appendix indicating that all search slaves must be cleanly finished before the search master finishes. Duncan and Masha are to work out the details of implementation.
The wrapper has been tested as data distributor, but this is broken using the inspiral dso. Duncan indicated that this was easy to fix, and promised to have it fixed by the next meeting.
Status of the mpiAPI
Phil Ehrens reported that no work has been done on the mpiAPI since he has
been supporting the immenent release of LDAS.
Review progress with inspiral dso
Duncan Brown reported that the conditionData function is "broken" because
it did not expect data on the search slaves. This is easily fixed and
will be by the next meeting. ApplySearch() remains to be written.
