Attendance:

Siong Heng, Martin Mc Hugh, Masha Barnes, Linqing Wen, Kent Blackburn,
Erik Katsavounidis, Patrick Brady, Jolien Creighton, John Whelan, Greg
Mendell, Joe Romano, Warren Anderson ......
Stochastic code:
----------------
Have DSO. Runs in standalone mode. Has run on LDAS. Some changes since they
ran in LDAS. Somewhere in routine that builds output. Frames used summary
information: frames_used needs to be put into the summary spectrum table.
Conclusion to put in number of seconds analyzed. Most of the code already in
place. What about procframes? Kent says they are not sure yet. Needs many
changes in framecpp and frameAPI.
Problem handling mime information inside the dataAPI. All effort from frame
issues to fixing dataAPI. Code is as far along as can be besides running
under LDAS. Kent said they are continuing to test this code but only in
standalone mode.
Stochastic-bar:
---------------
Most of the code is based on what UTB wrote. Modifying to take complex data
and bar orientation stuff. Siong asked if all changes needed to get the
stochastic code running in LDAS were in the LALWrapper archive. John answered
yes.
Testing DSO's in preparation for the MDC:
-----------------------------------------
The question how to test DSO's? Kent wants to freeze LDAS code tonight and test
until Monday night. At that time, migrate LDAS to the sites. Continue with more
extensive testing at the sites. They are a little behind, but hoping to catch up.
MIT is about two days away from having LDAS running. The standard ldas_mdc user
and password will be available at all the sites once things are running? When
they push LDAS to the sites, they will push most up-to-date stable version of
LAL and LALWrapper onto the sites. If there are changes to LAL and LALWrapper
that NEED to be pushed to the sites, they will do that.
Tfclsters:
----------
tfclusters has been run in standalone mode. Julien will be back over weekend
and will be able to run pipeline next week. Erik is planning to send me some
comments about power code over weekend.
Changes to wrapperAPI and LALWrapper:
-------------------------------------
Changes to wrapperAPI will be implemented today and the LDAS repository tagged
when it is all working. Masha will e-mail the group (especially Jolien) when
the changes are made. Jolien will get ready to make changes to LALWrapper and
will mail developers to make sure they know what changes will be needed. The
code freeze will be implemented at 00:00 PDT on 27 August 2001. At this time,
necessary changes to LALWrapper will be implemented and Jolien will notify the
developers that they are complete. Developers should "fix" their codes
between that time and 12:00 PDT on 27 August 2001. Developers will need to
responsible in this regard so that we avoid testing delays.
Purpose of upcoming MDC and requirements:
-----------------------------------------
Scientific validation tests for stochastic. Some integrity tests will be
done. But Joe would be happy if the standalone test produce scientific
validation tests. Sam's viewpoint is that this pipeline test. Next couple
of days we will try to put together common set of validation tests for MDC.
Erik thinks we will see how to get to science validation.
Action items:
-------------
John Whelan will get Andrea Vicere's most recent frame-builder tool onto the
LIGOTOOLS page. He will coordinate this with Peter and Andrea.
Joe wants people who will participate in the MDC to know of the existence of
the CVS archive and the MDC documentation. Patrick will coordinate with Warren
to move CVS to UWM into the ldasmdc archive.
Patrick will send output files from power.so to Masha tomorrow for her to test
that it will go into database properly.
Other business:
---------------
John mentioned his function to deal with the different types of input from the
datacondAPI. A significant discussion followed. It was agreed that this is a
good tool but will not be included at higher level than stochastic package in
the upcoming release of LALWrapper.
Meetings:
---------
Keep a possible 10:15am PST time next Tuesday free to catch up on things and
make sure we are on target for a release.
Standard Thursday meeting. Patrick will try to change the time to start 15
minutes later and will mail the group.
