Minutes of the LSUG Teleconference
Thursday, 05 September 2002  (10:00PST)
Attendance:

Duncan, Rauha, Stuart, Kent, Patrick, Jolien, Joe

Agenda:

S1: Running at the sites seems to be going ok. Search monitor
found a problem with Duncan's driver script. Currently
        producing more than 50 events.

LDAS: Fire suppression problem caused power outage at LLO.
Two separate statements about whether or not things are
working again. They're still investigating and failures right
        now could be just that.

They are seeing a problem with DB2 which they do not
understand. This is causing problems and they are trying to
fix it. The number of burst events was being too high and
the thresholds were adjusted. They were writing everything to
        xml files right now.

Masha will continue to send failure mode summary for the
        on-line analyses.

Must get the frameCPP library out the door and and up to spec.

LAL/LALapps/LALWrapper: No changes are currently in the
archive. Jolien will be making changes after S1. There are
no dates yet for S2, although. There are major development
for S2: inspiral waveform generators, template placement,
burst waveforms, periodic codes. Bugfix release at end of
Sep, and full-scale S2 release at the end of Oct.

On-line search tool: requirements will be sent to the Lab in
        a week or two.

Kent wants to throttle number of rows to go into the database.
Duncan suggested diverting to LIGO_LW when too many events are
        heading for the metadataAPI.

Weekly versus bi-weekly meeting: agreed to have weekly
meetings, but to be willing to meet briefly and adjourn when
        nothing needs to be done.

Next meeting:
