Getting to the Milwaukee River Hilton

Shuttle Information: Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to/from the Milwaukee River Hilton

To reach the hotel from Mitchell International Airport (MKE), use the Airport Connection shuttle service. Airport Connection operates a fleet of vans and shuttles serving locations throughout Milwaukee. Go to the Airport Connection desk near Baggage Claim Carousel #2 in Mitchell Airport. Shuttles leave approximately every 15 minutes. No advance reservation is required. The fare to the hotel is $17 one-way or $34 round-trip. You can also call Airport Connection to be picked up from the hotel. Their Milwaukee numbers are 414-769-2444 and 800-236-5450. Call at least 3 hours in advance.

Coach Information: O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to/from the Milwaukee River Hilton

To reach the hotel from O'Hare International Airport (ORD), we recommend you use CoachUSA. CoachUSA runs buses between O'Hare and Milwaukee approximately every hour. Get off the bus at the Amtrak Station in downtown Milwaukee, and take a taxi to the hotel. Note: Cab fare from downtown Milwaukee to this hotel may be expensive. The only appropriate alternative is a rental car.

Driving to the Milwaukee River Hilton

Follow the driving directions to UWM to get onto I-43 along Milwaukee's northeast side, then do the following:

1. Approaching from the south on I-43: Exit I-43 at Exit 77A. The hotel is directly across the road from the exit ramp. At the foot of the ramp, turn right (south) onto Port Washington Road, then immediately left (east) into the parking lot.
   
   Approaching from the north on I-43:Exit I-43 at Exit 78. Turn left (east) onto Silver Spring Drive.
2. Take Silver Spring Drive east under the freeway to Port Washington Road. Turn right (south) onto Port Washington Road.
3. Take Port Washington Road south approximately 1 mi (1.6 km) to the hotel, just south of the intersection at Hampton Avenue.

Getting to UWM from the Milwaukee River Hilton

Note: On-campus parking is often scarce when classes are in session.

Some curb parking in the neighborhood surrounding UWM is available, with restrictions. Therefore, guests of the Milwaukee River Hilton are encouraged to *****.

There are metered public parking lots at several locations on the UWM campus. Refer to the PDF map of the UWM campus for parking lot and building locations.

Driving Directions: From Milwaukee River Hilton to UWM

1. Take Port Washington Road north across the river to Hampton Avenue. Turn right (east) onto Hampton Avenue.
2. Take Hampton Avenue east across the railroad tracks to Wilson Drive. Turn right (south) onto Wilson Drive.
   
   
   
3. Take Wilson Drive southeast to Capitol Drive. Turn left (east) onto Capitol Drive.
4. Take Capitol Drive east 6 blocks to Oakland Avenue. Turn right (south) onto Oakland Avenue.
   
   
   
5. Take Oakland Avenue south approximately 10 blocks to Kenwood Boulevard. Turn left (east) onto Kenwood Boulevard.
6. Take Kenwood Boulevard east 1 block to the Physics Building.
   
   
   

Driving Directions: From UWM to Milwaukee River Hilton

From Kenwood Boulevard, on the UWM campus:

1. Take Kenwood Boulevard west to Oakland Avenue. Turn right (north) onto Oakland Avenue.
   
   
   
2. Take Oakland Avenue north approximately 10 blocks to Capitol Drive. Turn left (west) onto Capitol Drive.
3. Take Capitol Drive west 6 blocks to Wilson Drive. Turn right (north) onto Wilson Drive.
   
   
   
4. Take Wilson Drive northwest to Hampton Avenue. Turn left (west) onto Hampton Avenue.
5. Take Hampton Avenue west across the railroad tracks to Port Washington Road. Turn left (south) onto Port Washington Road.
6. Take Port Washington Road south across the river to the hotel.
