LSC DataGrid Software
The LSC DataGrid Software comes in two flavors: LSC DataGrid Client and LSC DataGrid Server. Which one you install depends on what you want to accomplish:
- LSC DataGrid Client: install this package if you want to be able to use Grid tools to login to remote resources, use a Grid-enabled FTP client to get or put files, or submit jobs to a remote resource. Most LSC scientists will want to install this package.
- LSC DataGrid Server: install this package if you want all the capabilitites of the LSC DataGrid Client, but you also want to provide services from your workstation or machine, such as a Grid-enabled SSH server or a Grid-enabled FTP server. Usually only administrators will want to install this package.
