UWM physicists aid new insight into early universe

Posted by on August 24, 2009

A paper published in the journal Nature on August 20 reports new analysis of measurements by the LIGO Scientific Collaboration. In particular, Xavier Siemens and Warren Anderson made significant contributions.

The group’s work has shown how the search for elusive gravitational waves with the ultra-sensitive detector facilities has resulted in new information about the early universe.

Xavier Siemens is an assistant professor and Warren Anderson is an associate scientist at UWM Center for Gravitation and Cosmology.
