   Wave functions, time-independent Schrodinger equation, formalism, uncertainty principle, hydrogen atom, and spin. [Detailed syllabus]  

Grading

   Assignments One per week; to be returned on Fridays at start of class 40%
   Mid-term Based on classwork and assignments 20%
   Final Exam Based on classwork and assignments 40%
