Xavier Siemens

(aka Francisco Javier de Arcenegui Siemens)

I am an associate professor at the Center for Gravitation and Cosmology and the LIGO Scientific Collaboration at the Department of Physics, UWM, interested mostly in gravity wave astrophysics, early universe cosmology, especially cosmic strings, and biophysics. I also work on calibration of LIGO data, which is experimentalist work.

Before coming here I was at Caltech working for the LIGO group and TAPIR. Before that I did a postdoc here at UWM! I did my PhD with Alexander Vilenkin at the Institute of Cosmology at Tufts. Before then I studied at the Imperial College Theoretical Physics Group, London. Originally, I am from Villalba, a town at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama northwest of Madrid.

List of publications: INSPIRE-HEP.

I am working on an update of pictures of my friends ... At some point I'll get it together enough to finish this.
