S5 LIGO all-sky high frequency burst search with Q Pipeline and CorrPower

Overview

With this page we would like to introduce an all-sky search for unmodeled GW waveforms with frequencies higher than the ones of interest in current searches. Although transient sources are expected to radiate at frequencies up to several kHz, burst searches have not been performed above 2048 Hz. Thus, there is a clear motivation for this analysis. Additionally, Virgo will have comparable sensitivity to LIGO only for frequencies above 800 Hz or so. Therefore, a high-frequency analysis conducted with the LIGO detectors will help pave the way for future joint analyses.
