  1. Report on GRB070201 search
    • Draft paper is being prepared. Text will be similar to the text in Isabel's GRB paper. Draft expected later this week.
    • Also looking at data with a variety of burst search methods to show robustness of result. Inspiral injection frames for 1.4-1.4 and 1.4-10 Msun with random inclination and polarization generated with lalapps code. Typical 90% sensitivity out to 2.7 Mpc / 8 Mpc with X-pipeline. Still need to do this with Isabel's code.
    • Question about H1 calibration. Need to wait for V3 calibration, which is being generated.
    • Need a webpage with links to all the work on this project.
    • Need a wish-list of material for review.
  2. Continued discussion of S3 AURIGA-LIGO search
    • Discussion of back-of-the-envelope calcuation of search sensitivity.
      • Figs. 12 and 13 on pages 26 and 27 of the technical report show the AURIGA-only efficiencies (before CorrPower).
      • Fig. 2 on page 5 of the white paper T040202 shows the AURIGA SNR=1 optimal oriented sensitivity. This agrees well with the back-of-the-envelope calculation, but there is signficant variability. Perhaps this is the reason for the difference between predicted and observed efficiencies.
      • If CorrPower does cut some triggers, it will be necessary to comment on calibration uncertainties related to this part of the pipeline. Probably this can be assessed simply by estimating the change to the effective threshold of the Gamma-cuts on Fig. 22 of page 39 on the techical report.
      • Ringdown efficiencies: there are indications that these should be *better*, not worse than sine-Gaussians. Patrick will check the MDC frames to make sure that they are correct and that the hrss is right (make sure that these were done with tau/10 rather than 10tau before t=0).
    • List of next todo items: (i) uncertainty analysis, (ii) checks of post-processing scripts including live-time calculations and generation of figures from trigger lists. Laura will gather scripts together in CVS and do a first round of checks.
