Minutes

  1. Requests to form teams for 1st yr S5 BN+CP search, S4 LIGO-GEO search, and S5 SGR exttrig search.
    • Team for BN+CP will be Badri, Soumya and Norna.
    • First requests for participation on S4 LIGO-GEO team have been sent out.
    • Plan to defer review of S5 SGR search until after the S4 LIGO-GEO search has been reviewed: want to have one completed search using cWB to be done.
  2. GRB070201 Search
    • Jolien has been working with Patrick to get inspiral MDCs made. Will be done later today / tomorrow.
  3. Review of BurstMDC Simulation
    • Reviewed mkburstmdc, burst2graven, randominject, and setampl.
    • Code seems fine as it is currently used. Some unused or desired features are not included or not correctly implemented:
    • Question about how to handle injections with a specified end time.
    • No easy way to handle case for randomized inclination when hrss+(i) and hrssx(i) are known -- other than just choosing from a set of input files.
    • Issue with passing parameters describing the distribution of external parameters to GravEn when they are not just RANDOM.
