  1. Review of BurstMDC Simulation
    • Go over the BurstMDC S4 validation web page (which covers the sky-angle convention changes in GravEn) [ HTML ]
      • GEO was incorrectly treated (Arm 1 x Arm 2 points down, not up) -- manifested as wrong sine of Fx. Now corrected.
      • Everywhere else, error in sign of F+. Now corrected.
      • This is all for BurstMDC. GravEn internals have not been checked, but this doesn't affect current MDC production.
      • Concern: comparison with Sutton's code and Zanolin's code -- check heritage -- are these really independent checks?
    • The GravEn source code in the BurstMDC release [ HTML ]
      • Read up to line 165 of graven [ HTML ]
      • Kludge for suppressing calibration when not wanted is to set GPS time negative. Suggested alternative: make GravEn more generic (e.g., make most of NetworkGraven part of GravEn) by changing detId to be a list of readout channels, e.g., H1:LSC-AS_Q,H1:LSC-DARM_ERR,H2:LSC-STRAIN, which GravEn parses to determine IFOs involved as well as what kind of calibration.
      • Calibration for S6? There will probably be a DARM_ERR, but not yet sure. Probably don't want to deprecate AS_Q quite yet, though it is not recommended at the moment.
      • Recall previous recommendation of changing start-sample to gps-start.
      • Skimmed internal functions errorcheck [ HTML ] and checkexternal [ HTML ].
      • Read upto line 164 of makelist [ HTML ].
        • Read ispregen [ HTML ] (sees a bit of a hack).
        • Reminder: remove commented-out line 109.
      • Next time, start with function pregenlist [ HTML ]
