  1. Announcements
    • S5y1 HF search paper looks close to being ready for circulation. Probably a couple of days work.
  2. Discussion of the S5 1st Year Burst Search Paper [ HTML ]
    • Paper needs to be edited. Sections not leading to main results need to be trimmed back to bare essentials.
    • Data analysis section should focus on general algorithm (Z=X^2/Var(X)) and then discuss specific detector combinations and time-frequency decompositions later.
  3. Reports from Burst Review Teams
    • S5y1 cWB Report [ PDF ]
      • Livetime calculation carefully checked.
      • Analytic model of cWB sensitivity.
      • Investigated missed loud events: could not observe loud injections with weak antenna pattern in one of the detectors.
      • Investigated loud events. Substantial population with similar features. Interesting to follow-up. Site transient rate of 1/few-hours would give a handfull of coincident events. Q-scans didn't see anything common with environmental channels.
      • Impact of calibration errors assessed. Added to MC undertainties.
      • cWB requires 300s of data after cat1 flags. Veto all events that fall on cat2 times (in any of the detectors in that network). Slightly inefficient in terms of livetime, but not important.
