X-Pipeline Review Meeting Monday 18 May 2009 09:00 Pacific / 12:00 Eastern

Agenda: Monday 18 May 2009 09:00 Pacific / 12:00 Eastern

  1. Open-box ULs estimated using linear interpolation twiki (Gareth)
  2. Updated paper draft in DCC pdf (Patrick)
  3. More sanity checks twiki (Gareth)
  4. Continue walking through results webpages. GRB 070809

Minutes:

Attendance: Jolien, Peter, Xavi, Antony

Announcement:

  1. Open-box ULs estimated using linear interpolation twiki (Gareth)
    • Like to see the bar plot for the GRB distance limits.
    • Like to see some other plots:
    • hrss90 vs DLL plot for both sets of limits. Should be a straight line.
    • hrss90 (150) vs. hrss90 (1000) scatter plot.
    • hrss90 vs. Fave plot for coloured by network?
    • Also getting Isabel's results from cc analysis and doing a per-GRB comparisons.
    • Histograms of injection parameters. Time, Sky Position, etc.
  2. Updated paper draft in DCC pdf (Patrick)
  3. Reviewers need to look at the paper.
  4. More sanity checks twiki (Gareth)
  5. Will be filling in table as time goes on.
  6. Continue walking through results webpages. GRB 070809
    • Pen-and-paper calculation of efficiency. Basically the requirement that a signal produce a pixel at the 99th percentile based on standard likelihood given the values of Fave in the detectors and assuming (say) gaussian noise (?). Should be able to approximate the 50% point with a back-of-the-envelope calculation. (For this GRB there were no surviving on-source events.)
