ligoDV

The LIGO Data Viewer (ligoDV) project aims to increase the accessibility of data and standard data processing algorithms to on- and off-site scientists within the LSC. This MATLAB-based graphical user interface allows users to conect to the network data servers (NDS and NDS2) to download gravitational-wave data and auxiliary channel data, apply signal processing algorithms and mathematical operations, and to display and/or save the results. Current supported operations include time-series plotting, time-domain filtering, spectral analysis, coherence, transfer functions, scatter plots, and audio output. The ligoDV code base was branched in 2007 from dv7, the GEO600 dataviewer developed by Martin Hewitson.

Project Librarian

Joshua Smith (joshua.smith _at_ ligo.org) is the ligoDV project librarian.

Documentation

All ligoDV documentation, including download and install instructions, is now on the ligo.org daswg wiki.

Bug Reporting

Please email bugs to (ligodv _at_ gravity.phys.uwm.edu). This will create a ticket in our bug tracking system at https://rt.phys.uwm.edu/. Please note however that the ligodv queue in this system is only accessible by members of the ligoDV Group. If you'd like to interact with the RT system directly, let us know.

GIT Repository

ligoDV development is managed in a GIT repository (not the recommended source for installation). You can browse the ligoDV GIT repository here (ligo.org credentials needed).
